I saw a programme on TV recently that pretty much said the weather has wiped out any hope of home gardeners being able to get plants this year. Then got some at our local Mitre10. I just checked their website and it seems that while many stores don't have them, many do so I thought people might like to know.

They also have tui feeder hanging things, so I might invest tomorrow, though I do want to see how the seeds go. I have them chilling in the fridge right now. Thanks for the heads up!

I always let mine make runners. Every 3 yrs or so, pull the old mother plant and the babies are away meanwhile. Never a shortage of fruit - or plants.

My strawberry seeds have germinated. Teeniest wee things. Going to be hell planting those out. The fuchsia seeds though, not a dicky bird. Oh well...
