check your cpu on the intel site

eg n5030 is 105 degrees max
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/...tions.html

a reasonable range would be 40-75 for normal usage, anything up to 90 or so is fine for heavy use, as long as the cooling system is good
if its old and dusty temps will be higher
This world would be a perfect place if it wasn't for the people.

This is an Acer Chromebook 17.3" CB317 converted to Linux Mint Cinnamon 21.2 Psensor is running all the time. The temp is about 65c when viewing videos. The maximum allowable temp is 105c. There is no fan, or ventilation. The motherboard is covered in black plastic, you can't see any of the components. I wonder what will happen in Summer?

some of the lower end machines are designed with passive cooling, i guess using convection to shift the heat out. Should be fine...

You can set a warning in the bios. They get hot, GPUs hotter.
