Trouble attempting to instal Skype for Android

I want to reinstall Skype for Android but it tells me that I cannot do that as it is already installed but when I click on the Skype icon it dies not work so I need a link to go to reinstall Skype. Will you help me please.

go into settings and apps, you should be able to see the list of installed apps and then select uninstall on skype.
