The McBishop at it again - drag queens now his target
#1
I came across an interesting new term thos morning - 'religitards', which seems to fit Brian Tamaki to a T.

The McBishop's post:

https://www.linkedin.com/posts/brian-tam...96960-xaNh

"Parents, where is your outrage at the Transgender agenda trying to recruit your kids, right under your nose, in our schools? If you’re a parent with children or youth in a state school, I’d strongly encourage you to keep your kids home this week and boycott the Schools’ Pride Week that is being forced on our children through state schools."

The ignorance on this issue is astounding.

https://www.reddit.com/r/chch/comments/1...s_morning/

"So many times people like this are projecting their own values when they protest. Like the guy in the US recently doing a similar protest, gets arrested and they find child porn on his computer."

"There were definitely more rainbow supporters than the Kyle Chapman cheer squad. The kids all got in and enjoyed the show peacefully. A group of the protestors tried to get in just as the event was emptying out but were barricaded and the guests left through another entrance. The security and staff team at the library were genuinely phenomenal and dealt with it like champions."

I actually agree with him.
Kids don't need to see that shit at such a young age.

Wow, maybe kids don't need to see lots of other kinds of shit either - like religion of all kinds, cartoons on tv, nursery rhymes, tv advertising, preschool classes, and weird conspiracy theories from their parents...

Just as well kids can cope eh? Often, a hell of a lot better than adults...

Have to agree Hunni, I think it is mostly when the kids get indoctrinated with their parents own stupid beliefs that the aforementioned kids go off the rails... Most of the other stuff they can cope with knowing its a thing that some folks are/do/think just fine... a few exceptions like porn etc

Kids do need to learn that there are all kinds of different people in our world, & understand that, rather than becoming as narrow minded as the McBishop & his followers. They see themselves as good christians yet seem to have an enormous poverty of spirit in some things.

Benighted, ignorant attitudes like theirs can lead to those wars we keep having.

How about you listen from a drag queen themselves on the matter?
I know who's opinion I would listen to.

The Conservative drag queen has a bizarre view; this is simply about reading stories to kids.

Kids love dressups. Kids love stories.
This is an excellent way to allow kids to learn that there are all kinds of people in the world. Far better than allowing more people to grow up having narrow minded, bigoted ideas.

Have to agree, from the minute or so I watched, it became very apparent to me that for Kitty Demure being a Drag Queen is some kind of sexual thing, his/her name is probably a giveaway in that respect.

I note that video is also four years old, so not a response to current events...
