Just had a tooth implant
#1
Had root absorption as a result of a historical injury and needed to have an implant.

Procedure was pretty quick with the tooth extracted and implant done immediately afterwards with little to no pain afterwards.
Just have to avoid eating on it until the bone heals.
The dentist made a CNC milled crown to go on as a temporary tooth using a 3D scanner in my mouth, pretty amazing what they can do nowadays.

Amazing! But not encouraging me to overcome my aversion to voluntary dentist visits. I am looking forward through to custom made hip replacements when they have to pull the first one out for its new version.

Though, looking forward might be a bit of an exaggeration...

3D printing and CNC machining is changing this space rather fast.
Doesn't really make it much more affordable unfortunately.
