They've been around for years - I remember posters on the old TM board talking about this new way they'd found to avoid legal consequences. Since covid, more people have been sucked into this - a good example of humankind's boundless stupidity.

I have/had a friend, originally from TM, then in real life, she was a fan of this idea, and a few others. I kind of ignored it because she was lots of fun and I enjoyed her company. But then March 15 happened and she posted something on social media that just horrified me and that was that.

Quite sad really. I learned something important though from that, the 'when people tell you who they are, believe them' lesson.
