Scotland has decided to make a tartan especially for the victims of witch hunts from 1563 to 1736.
It only took a few centuries...

The design was created to honour the victims - mostly women (oh,now surprising!) who were burned or executed in other ways (usually hanging) & is intended to bring attention to past injustices, when people were killed because they practised midwifery, folk medicine.
