Can anyone explain the difference to me, coz Google ain't helping.
If I'm going to see the new Mission Impossible movie, do I want Imax or Vmax, and why?

Been playing ( resistingly) with copilot and the following was given.
Quote:IMAX and VMAX are both premium cinema experiences, but they have some key differences:- Screen Size: IMAX screens are typically much larger, sometimes reaching up to eight stories tall, while VMAX screens are big but not quite as massive.
- Projection Technology: IMAX uses specialized projection systems designed for higher clarity, resolution, and contrast. VMAX also has high-quality projection, but it may not be as advanced as IMAX.
- Sound System: IMAX theaters generally have more speakers and a higher-quality sound system compared to VMAX, though VMAX cinemas often feature Dolby Atmos for immersive audio.
- Seating Comfort: VMAX offers reclining armchairs and double daybeds for a more luxurious experience, whereas IMAX focuses more on the immersive screen and sound rather than seating comfort.
- Aspect Ratios: IMAX screens can display films in expanded aspect ratios, such as 1.43:1 or 1.90:1, which is exclusive to IMAX and not available in VMAX
If you're looking for the biggest screen and most immersive experience, IMAX is the way to go. If you prefer comfortable seating and great sound, VMAX might be a better choice. What kind of movie experience do you usually go for?
To Carry on playing with Copilot ----- "The latest Mission: Impossible movie, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, has a runtime of 2 hours and 49 minutes"
So, can you sit comfortably with a higher quality viewing for that amount of time or want a comfy bum LOL
Edit 2: Google / AI gives a good explanation as well, just have to change wording in the search. Try "difference between imax and vmax" The 1st answer is even better than the above.
Upgrades = Old bugs replaced with new Bugs.

mmmm....OK. So by all accounts IMAX is the way to go - I wonder why they bother with VMAX?

Yes, it is! Came out in 1985 I think. A friend in Taupo came up and brought one back much to our road club's fascination. The boys all crowded round talking rubbish about the monster machine, and decided it merited a road trip to celebrate the following weekend. I had something on so lent my bike - also a Yamaha, to another rider whose bike was in the shop, and off they all went to Napier. When he brought my bike back he had a grin from ear to ear on his face and told me with ill disguised glee that the vmax had developed trouble on the return trip, and he, on my little XJ600 towed it back to Taupo. It was a great bike the XJ. Beautifully balanced and easy for this short arse to spend lots of hours on...

I am definitely 75% bad though. In my dreams, lol.
I can't get over a fear response when driving a car, despite lots of very good teachers, I just loathed being behind the wheel. My darling even tried an apple red sports car, which was fun, but I still hated the experience. Then I got a scooter, which I enjoyed, but being gutless the thing proved dangerous when a woman in a car tried to run over the top of me, so I went up the scale to a 250CBX and tasted real freedom. And that was that, road bikes were it. And being one of only two women riders in the town was also really good for my ego, lol.
Still love them, but the bones will not allow. A mobility scooter is absolutely no substitute, but it does give me that same freedom. And that is such a gift...

Motorcycles are inherently dangerous, I have a titanium rod in my left leg to prove it.
It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche
