I don't really think he's a Nazi but why on earth did he do this practiced Nazi Salute?

Perhaps it's part of his no empathy philosophy?

Speaking of no empathy:

Shane Jones is a bad man. He's intelligent and therefore has no excuse for these out of date primitive beliefs or lack of civilized beliefs.
It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

Jones is a very bad man.  In his enthusiasm for eugenics he is trying to reframe animal rights as "indulgence", presumably because as humans we are at the top of the food chain.  What next?  The coalition is already pulling the rug from under poor people ("bottom feeders"), the young, the very old, the disabled.   Next they will come for the non-white and non-male.

Politicians make choices about what they say for many reasons. Sometimes they are authentic choices, they really believe what comes out of their mouths - I think the haka incident was one of those authentic choice moments. But authenticity comes at a price.

At other times they dog whistle to appease or garner support from dark corners. And that too comes with a price, because in the end authenticity is as easy to spot as faking it for votes. And I also think the time is coming when authenticity will win again, despite all the faking and the lies and the personal wealth building.

But I'm an optimist...

There is something wrong about Shane Jones..
in order to be old & wise, you must first be young & stupid. (I'm still working on that.)
