An urgent product recall has been made by Tesla over concerns one of its popular products could overheat and catch fire, with incidents of properties being damaged across Australia.

Is it coincidental that this recall applies to the previous model Powerwall 2 which has NMC battery chemistry but not the current Powerwall 3 which uses LFP batteries, which are slightly less energy dense but widely regarded as being safer particularly in terms of fire risk?
