We used to say we opened the fridge in the morning to warm our hands so we could light the fire, it certain could throw a glorious frosty morning at us. But boy the roses did well...
Nothing like a Taupo frost - we were in Wakeman Road Acacia Bay and the frost was on the ground all day .Didn’t mind the frost but didn’t like the foggy mornings - I worked at Carters in Spa Road so used to have to cross the bridge when it was a real pea souper was frightening .If my old boy hadn’t got sick we probably would have gone back to Taupo
Dr Seuss might see the light of day later on
We used to stay there quite a bit when the kids were little. I remember 2 things vividly, son and I watching the cars sliding on the Ice on the lake corner opposite the trout statue. Then, son and I walking the Taupo to Aratiatia track on a 5 degree frosty morning.... wonderful. I loved walking so much and I miss it terribly.
Corgi Wan Kenobi is watching you!
