Yes, popeye, the Furry One had/has seizures, genuine canine epilepsy. He's on Pexion to help control it but every now and then has a petite mal. We go with the flow. And like people are really tired after a seizure, dogs are too. Your friend's dog is much older though so it will be a tough choice for them to make. Our boy was five when he started having seizures (his first and second seizures were real doozies) so a young dog. There was no question about him being on meds. If he had been an older dog, then it may have been a different story. I'm sure your friend's vet will talk them through their options and help them make whatever choice needs to be made.
Thank you Kiwimade. I didnt realise the Furry one had been having them so long. I will support them in which ever way they go. Hard when your dogs cant be how a dog should be. Mac had 6 wobbly episodes within a few hours which is concerning.. And would be hard to see.
