morning ladies We're under an orange wind and rain warning, thank you Cyclone Lola. We can see thebig rain band heading our way towards the Kaimais. It will no doubt hit you, Roma, later.
What a treat, OHH I read there were kaka roosting in Auckland, how cool is that. Spoonbills are glorious birds. I saw my first one a few weeks ago with a black swan for company at Ohinemutu Village, Rotorua. It was so surprising to see it so far inland, so we guessed it was lost. It was enjoying some of the thermal water around the edges of Lake Rotorua. Hopefully 'yours' will stay and you can enjoy them a bit longer and you get to see the kaka. Man certainly has a lot to answer for with endangered species.
Over the last couple of days I have been spending some time working on the thrush and am very happy with it so far. Its speckled look is starting to take shape. Looking at the weather out there, I suspect it will be another day with the needle in hand.
