We had a really interesting discussion on the value of doubt in creative work. His position was it woke us up to our intuitive feelings, ones we might be ignoring. It became a very useful little bit of knowledge for me in my practice, in that instead of letting it stymie, or block my working on a project it actually made me focus harder to find the source of the doubt.
Useful, and not just in creative practice. It might just have innoculated me against scammers, lol...
I think probably thee 'n me tend towards a healthy dollop of scepticism...

Weird day here today certainly warmer - unfortunately the promised rain didn’t arrive but we had a good earthquake early morning - centred where my sons farm is - he said the nanny goat went berserk and woke him just before the quake it - he often claims she is an incarnated witch - she is diabolical .They has a lot of stuff come down off shelves and one chimney has cracked but the old farm house is well built
Have just resigned from the school breakfast club -first started helping out 17 years ago -but it’s just got too depressing - have told them I will help out if they are short but don’t want to be on the roster .Have lost a lot of confidence since that mongrel gave me a shove - not driving much - Hunni how many kms do go from home on your wheels?
The nanny goat was warning them! Well done that goat.
Jan, don't let somone affect you & prevent you doing something you enjoy. There are mongrels everywhere & they don't deserve to be given that much power, so if you want to continue, then do so & to hell with the mongrel.
in order to be old & wise, you must first be young & stupid. (I'm still working on that.)
