Found it yesterday, and watched it.
I hope it improves. More like Discovery would be good.  Cool

Discovery is crap.  Michael Burnham is so earnest you actually start to feel ill.

This however has potential.  They have moved back to episodes with individual stories rather than a whole season focused on one storyline.

Picard has suffered under this especially season 2.  Had it been TNG that whole S2 storyline would have been done and dusted in 2 episodes.  Also get writers who know canon.  Then they would have known that Picard and Guinan had already met in the 18th century not just in 2024.

Partners in Crime. This was on Prime a few years ago, but has come up on Youtube, so am watching it again. Staring David Walliams...fortunately he's not my type, and Jessica Raine...unfortunately I am not her type. Set in the '50's, so for me it's all about the cars...of course I get all pedantic about that particular model not coming out in that year, and the wrong tail lights on that one...it's sad really. And all the other stuff of course, just love the detail they need setting something in an almost bygone time.

Awesome Netflix doco covering a Nepalese climber who aims to climb all of the 14 peaks on Earth over 8,000m in height within a 7 month seasonal window. The guy's stamina and mental resilience is phenomenal. The alpine videography is breathtaking.

I am halfway through Nightsky, and am really enjoying it, nice to have much older leads in a series...

And I have picked up Sanditon on Neon as light relief, always like a bit of Jane Austen on screen. Beats the hell out of reading the stuff...

A bit different, usually short episodes of 10-15 minutes each

Just finished season 1 of Patchinko. Interesting saga coving 4 generations of a Korean family from early 1900s until the 1990s. Patchwork approach to the timeline so keeping up with who is who and how situations fit together with the added challenge of subtitles as most dialogue is in Korean.

The portrayal of how the Koreans were (are?) regarded as inferior to the Japanese was interesting and something I hadn't been aware of. Strong characters, striking scenery and some sad scenes as poverty and Japanese domination play out. A good watch and we are looking forward to season 2 which has now been signed up and due for screening next year.

Westworld drops at any minute, and the new GoT series. Happy Hunni, I do love a nice bit of escapism.

Finally, sadly came to the end of the very last series of Shameless. When Americans get copying a Brit series right, they really get it right; it was excellent all the way through, though the final series suffered slightly from the lack of Emmy Rossum.

So now watching the final series of Grace & Frankie.

Only 3.8 on IMDB but I quite enjoyed it, solid 6 out of 10 I would say

I've just finished watching the mini series, When they see us. Based on a crime in the 80's in New York for which five young men, one Puerto Rican, the others black were sentenced to prison. Despite the police who framed them knowing they were innocent.

You don't know me rang a distant bell so went looking, & I've read the book, which was excellent.
