No when putting food on the table or paying rent requires someone to work 60 plus hours a week or 2 or 3 jobs that no longer is a choice.
of course it is, every aspect of the food, the rent, the table, one has is a choice, not always particularly palatable and a lot of people do it hard, but it is still a choice.   Some will work 80 hours for a better lifestyle, still a choice... At the other extreme, living in a tent in a camping ground to save money is a not very nice choice...

Everyone is too quick these days to externalise their problems and make it someone else's fault...
Am I starting to sound like a Nat supporter?

lol, that might be true if I were a socialist...
A choice is still a choice, even when it is a truly awful one. I know this because I have been in that place several times.
The real choice will be made on election day 2023
And the Greens still won't get in. But I'll vote anyway. Because it is my choice.
i choose not to participate
im holding out for anarchy, or perhaps a benevolent dictatorship.
