Moonhaven,  only a 4.7 on IMDB - Not your typical sci-fi but an interesting storyline

This looks looks like it might be good - next in the Predator franchise
Released tomorrow on HULU

Elvis...

Great movie, Austin Butler was awesome as Elvis.  Tom Hanks as the Colonel not so much.  But well worth the watch...

House of the Dragon, for all the Game of Thrones fans...

Release date is 22nd August in NZ

I'm watching After Life, second series.
And on PPTV, I'm watching a mini series, Mare of Easttown, which is so good I'm surprised its allowed on free to air TV.

You don't know me, mini series on Netflix. I read the book a while ago & this is an excellent adaptation.
Currently watching Keep sweet, pray & obey, a doco about FLDS, a polygamous group in America. Some strong similarities to the Gloriavale cult here.
It seems humans are capable of getting themselves to believe virtually anything at all.
just finished watching Underbelly NZ: Land of the Long Green Cloud
(listed on youtube if anyone interested)

Now onto Solaris (1972)
This was a great movie if you get a chance to watch it, based on a true story

I know! Its brilliant & I have the DVD, a really different movie. Should be shown in every high school in America & everywhere.

I'm watching Black earth rising, a mini series. Its about prosecuting various war crimes & has some interesting actors including John Goodman & Harriet Walter.

Rurangi on Neon.

NZ On Air - worth the watch. Made me think. Lovely acting.
Almost finished the first series of the French mystery drama, Lupin. Set mostly in Paris, it has voice overdub which is slightly disconcerting as they all have American accents, but you do get used to that. Its a wee bit clumsy here & there but I still enjoyed it.
Apparently based on a favourite French book/s about a 'gentleman burglar', Arsene Lupin, gentleman thief by Maurice Leblanc.

Loved Black Earth, couldn't get into Lupin, but am really enjoying the Handmaid this season. This afternoon it is The Light Between Oceans, perfect viewing for a rainy day. Thank you Netflix...

I'd just finished Black earth rising prior to starting Lupin.  Smile
Went to see Mrs. Harris goes to Paris today, lovely feel good sort of movie with lots of Paris. It must have been difficult to film & make it look much as it did back then, or perhaps its all computer aided. Gorgeous anyway, & lovely clothes too. Smile
What I watched or are part through this year

KATLA - Iceland Volcano Madness
Dark - Teutonic Sci Fi. A bit much for me but then they made
1899 - Similar to Dark but more accessible I think. Plus stars Anton Lesser. He’s fantastic

Saving Capitalism- Robert Reich documentary. Calmly goes through the Facts
John McAfee - sort of Hunter S. Thompson....batshit mental

Slow Horses - Gary Oldman truly a great actor
I picked up seven days free of Amazon Prime so am binging Rings of Power. I like the special effects and the digital work, the rest I'm not convinced of...

But it beats housework.
I watched Blue Bayou last night; Justin Chon wrote, directed & stars in this. I'd not heard of him before but I now think he's brilliant & I hope he has a great future. Its about a man who was adopted as a child from Korea & taken to America to live. Tissues needed.
