Our freedoms are being taken away... |

Does anyone else feel that the west is slowly turning totalitarian?
Very interesting video here (only goes for 8mins)
Religion has controlled mankind for centuries, and so is government.
We need to be aware of the techniques being used so we can wake up.
One day we wont even be able to speak our minds. Not trying to shout conspiracy theories, but there is definitely something going on.
Remember, you own your sovereignty and cant be taken away from you!

Anyone here have any experience with the Vive Cosmos VR unit?
My Grandson got one for Xmas from his parents and we've had no end of trouble getting it to work.
The main issue seems to be the Vive Setup Desktop application and internet searches indicate this is a very common problem.
The PC is up to the task and is an absolutely clean new install of Win 10, latest version. No other SW has been installed, AV & FW temporarily disabled as a precaution.
So all the obvious expected steps have been done but no joy.
Really looking for someone with experience of this particular device that might have more experience.
I'm completely new to the world of VR, and there is plenty I have to learn such as "Steam" etc and far better to get the benefit of someone familiar with it.
Thanks in advance
Cookee

The happiest I have ever been... |

I am inspired by a farcebook pic of a bronze plague attached to a wall on a street in Exeter, that said 'I don't like text in art but walking along this street holding the hand of the girl I loved was the happiest I have ever been'. It made me think about 'happiest' moments, and I think I have had more than one, and there may still be room for a few more.
Being in love and married to the most incredible man, hearing my child tell me I was her favourite person, several times each of my parents gave me some serious heartfelt praise, a couple of rather glorious day trips when I had my road bikes, and getting that hard won bit of paper that was so important back then, but not so much now. Those are some of mine.
These days perhaps contentment is a better place to be, but I wonder about your happiest moments - are they as precious and yet as ordinary as mine, or are they the enormous peaks of achievement we are sometimes told we should aim for?

Over the last hour I have stopped being able to access websites using Firefox and am now doing so using Edge but it is very slow to load up content. Email (Thunderbird) working fine though maybe a bit slow.
Have done a full scan using ESET and it was unable to open 4 files in various places on my computer but no nasties detected. Also did a Malwarebytes scan which found nothing.
I did notice MS did an update overnight last night so suspicious about downstream effects of that...
Is anybody else having similar issues?

Virginia Guiffre, now 38, alleges the Duke of York sexually assaulted her on three occasions when she was under the age of 18. She also claims convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell lent her out for sex with powerful associates, including the prince. He has denied all allegations.
So where are these other powerful associates who had sex with her, why is she only gunning for the prince? Im not saying he did or didn't sexually assault her but there must be a reason why he is the only one named, or are their others?

Another comically bad misstep from the chronic bumbler, but half-expecting him to come out saying that the work event was making Britain stronger, etc, which seems to work with the Conservatives core voters.
No doubt this will all be swept under the carpet, with the finger pointed at the guy who sent out the email. He'll get himself another job - maybe a cushy foreign posting - and all will be forgotten.

'Deeply inappropriate': Clarke Gayford sorry for 'confusion' after claim he tried to get mate rapid Covid test
This Chemist posted on his Facbook group.
"Just had a group of vaccinated musicians arrive having potentially been exposed want a RAT - explained to them that they needed to have a PCR test done." Taylor wrote.
"As they didn't like this they got Clarke Gayford on the phone who proceeded to tell me that there had been a change in the guidance and these people should be given RAT tests.
"when I explained that we had not received any direction from the MoH he was very unimpressed," the post said.
What is confusing about the rules Clarke?
