  USAID, Judge pauses Trump's idiocy
Posted by: Lilith7 - 08-02-2025, 03:11 PM - Forum: News and Current Affairs - No Replies

Finally, some sense, though I doubt the tangerine nightmare is best pleased. Unions filed a lawsuit but it may just be temporary.

Can't say I blame them. Canadians becoming anti American, none too happy at the '51st state' idea from America's glorious leader... Rolleyes

This might be a good time for setting up an underground line to get women to needed health services.

USA; Republicans try to end workplace safety
Posted by: Lilith7 - 06-02-2025, 02:19 PM - Forum: Opinion and Politics - Replies (2)

Blatant disregard for the safety of working people. Unbelievably harsh. This has bee tried previously but now with the orange creature in charge, there's a chance this could pass, which means more workplace accidents or deaths.
They're claiming 'overregulation'....

Backs turned on David Seymour at Waitangi

His microphone was also removed twice...

I disagree strongly with his views but he should be given the same right to be heard which everyone else gets. If only so we can all understand  the full hideousness of his Neo Liberal ideas...

A bright spot amongst the dire mess in America
Posted by: Lilith7 - 05-02-2025, 02:35 PM - Forum: Opinion and Politics - Replies (1)

A  brilliant move by a judge has seen the 'proud boys' lose rights to use their pathetic name. These dregs of society were released from prison by Trump, having been sentenced to prison for damage to a black church but they 'engaged in fraudulent activity' to prevent the church from collecting damages.

The name has been given to that church & the boys have to seek permission from the church if they want to use their black polo shirts with laurel leaf....

Jake Broe, after covering Ukraine, discusses the actions of Elon Musk's stooges in the US. Eye opening.
