The UN has just revised the models for climate change this century and the 5 degrees predicted rise has now been halved!

This should be huge news, but the media haven't reported anything about this.
Its only projected to be 2.5 degrees now, so we can all sit back and relax.
I doubt we will even see a 2.5 degree change anyway.

A cursory look over it suggests they have revised down the range of temperatures, but they only show a table with a range of temperatures under several different scenarios (page 36), so read in to that what you will about the claims made...

The whole COP27 situation must be like herding cats so it's no wonder there's so much 'wiggle room' been built into their predictions. If they were to provide a worse case scenario it could well be treated as an unbelievable panic response and so be discounted by those that most need to action CC mitigation measures.

The truth is no one knows a bloody clue what future temperatures are going to be, you can draw all your fancy charts, and the hockey stick graph, etc. No one knows.

But, there are those in society who have studied various topics gaining knowledge and worked in various fields gaining experience - presumably then there are some people will have a better idea of likely outcomes than others, for any situation...

Certainly your average person posting on internet message boards have no "bloody clue". I'd put a bit more faith in the experts though, it is their job afterall.
