A cursory look over it suggests they have revised down the range of temperatures, but they only show a table with a range of temperatures under several different scenarios (page 36), so read in to that what you will about the claims made...

That's a beast of a document and very easily misinterpreted by the looks. The whole COP27 situation must be like herding cats so it's no wonder there's so much 'wiggle room' been built into their predictions. If they were to provide a worse case scenario it could well be treated as an unbelievable panic response and so be discounted by those that most need to action CC mitigation measures.

But, there are those in society who have studied various topics gaining knowledge and worked in various fields gaining experience - presumably then there are some people will have a better idea of likely outcomes than others, for any situation...
