Many experts believe that the chernobyl disaster marked the beginning of the fall of the Soviet union. We've always had to stay alert to stay alive in the past. They blame the devil, lol, or some complex, psychological state or another. It's the challenges we've faced and overcome as a group in the past, and the responses we developed as a result. Ongoing background stress has a lot of health and behavioural problems to answer for. Stress is a big contributor to illness which is probably why disease can be broken down to dis-ease. And being in a state of fight or flight isn't a great base for making wise or well considered decisions.
