Perhaps it is getting old that brings a very different perspective to life, beyond the conditioning we impose on each other around career, and property, and 'building personal wealth'. Perhaps it is experiencing the traumas that financial wellbeing can do nothing to protect us from that teaches us other things are more valuable. And maybe that is while youth is wasted on the young, wisdom comes way too late in life.
