Win11 Restarting by itself.
#1
My old PC has developed a problem:   it restarts by itself.  Happened two times since this morning.

First time was when it woke up from 'sleep', after using it for about 5 mins, it restarted by itself.  2nd time, just a few mins ago, it did the same.

If it was my computer, and YOU really need to be sure you know what you are doing, I would re-seat the R.A.M. just as a sensible first guess at the problem.
It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

Graphics related according to here
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/window...dr-failure

Reseating Memory may help, but could be a driver issue, you could try updating the graphics drivers from manufacturer support site

Could also be a failing or bad graphics chip, graphics memory if seperate card or memory modules...

Start with the drivers...

I sometimes use
https://www.resplendence.com/whocrashed

which analyses the crashdumps and sometimes helps to narrow down the faulty hardware/software...
This world would be a perfect place if it wasn't for the people.

Help, please!

Disable the automatic reboot. Then you can actually see the STOP error it produces.
Try safe mode first.
However: The error code 0x00000116 is often caused by a misbehaved graphics card driver on your computer
Maybe the driver.

I think the problem has been fixed. Since I updated the video driver yesterday afternoon, the computer is now very stable, no more restarting...

Thank you all for the suggestions.
