It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

They look wonderful, full of hope for the future, hope it all goes well for them.

I think most of us would like to see their hope come to fruition, & would love to see peace break out there, rather than war. They've surely got enough to do, fixing their broken country.

I think there is lots of factionalism, historical foes even in just their own country, the Kurds for instance.

There are 3 million Syrians living in Turkey currently who contribute to Turkey's economy by way of cheap labour and manufacturing. Turkey would see a rise in inflation if they were to leave, and many of those Syrians have now made it a permanent home and are also suspicious of the new leadership in Syria.

You really have to feel for them; at this early stage they can't be sure which is the best option, to say or to go.
