   But we wont talk about  all the new  coal fired power stations now being  built in China  &  Europe in nresponse to the  cutting of gas supplys

We can talk about it as much as you like but we can only control things that are in our control.  Just because China doesn't adhere to the same morals and standards that we do certainly shouldn't be justification for us to do whatever we want...

Besides, my understanding is that China is getting more gas from Russia, not less (up 65% this year apparently).  Presumably Russia are having a bit of a fire sale on gas since no-one else wants it... 

and not to contradict you again, but from what I can gather europe is not building any more coal fired plants either.  They are putting a few of the unused ones back on standby in case needed over the winter
