Unfortunately and it's sad to have to say it but we have a surplus of human beings in the world at the moment.

The underlying problem that is causing all the others is over-population.

However if this problem is neglected for too long then the problem takes care of itself, with wars and climate change to name two of the obvious results.

that maybe true but I can think of just a handful of individual humans that we could dispense with which would make the place a bit  more homely..
