Volcano erupts in Indonesia, tsunami alert

What makes Auckland unique is its not like a regular volcano that erupts every now and again, but a field where a new volcano can erupt at any location randomly, in other words they are not vents like Mt Ruapehu for example.
Once the volcano has done its thing, it basically goes dead. Lets hope its many years away until the next eruption, but unfortunately its unavoidable.

If only they'd built the Beehive there...

That would probably be safer than adjacent to a major fault line as it is currently.
