It is NOT necessary to always have a brand new phone.

While that's true, you still have to be careful you're not buying someone's rubbish which may be faulty. Generally no warranty, or if they do only a couple of months.

My oppo is roughly 2 years old (cant remember exactly when I got it )  Runs fine, it was new from the start. Still upgrades the OS / Security, last one was about a month ago.
