Misplaced downloaded images. Where can they be?

Try looking in the Pictures Folder. If not there, look in One Drive.

OR  If you can look on your phone and find a Pictures Number, then from search ( bottom Left next to start) Search for that number.

Thanks, I'm not signed up for One Drive.
I did try searching my PC for the Picture number used on the phone.
No luck.

often times if the drag and drop fails its usually because they have been dropped inadvertently, often times into a folder either side of the source or target folder

I didn't get to the stage of 'dragging' only as far a 'selecting' then they were transferred to somewhere on the PC.
