Its pretty cool how any member of the public can assemble a small cubesat these days and be somewhat affordable.
This looks more the size of a shoebox, but size is not so relevant with todays technology.
There are quite a number of satellite projects out there built by the public that are used for a number of things, most notably for amateur radio.
Due to their small size, they dont have thrusters to keep maintaining their orbit, but the lower cost makes up for it i guess.
