This looks more the size of a shoebox, but size is not so relevant with todays technology.
There are quite a number of satellite projects out there built by the public that are used for a number of things, most notably for amateur radio.
Due to their small size, they dont have thrusters to keep maintaining their orbit, but the lower cost makes up for it i guess.
Its in a very low orbit and is estimated to last about 1-3 years, depending on solar activity among other factors.
