Every government raises this issue. And quietly forgets about it, because it is in the too hard basket. Putting a means test on it like any other welfare benefit - which it is - would upset too many of its own support base, and raising the age though sensible is also fraught with negative political blow back.

Meantime, we continue to have one of the best super systems on the planet. And I am very grateful for it. But then, it is my only source of income.

That's generally what happens. But with this govt, who knows. They're clearly not bothered about causing hardship.

 Still I'm almost hoping this lot do make a move to damage the super in some way, because that would be almost guarantee Winston throwing a massive wobbly...
