Genetics are incredible things, mama nature is always experimenting. I am a straight female, I do not feel threatened by any gender other than straight males, simply because life experience has taught me some of them are a threat. But gays? Trans? Middlesex? Nah...
I just wish they too like me, had the security, the confidence that comes from knowing who they were and who they were meant to be in our community. However that might express.
And idiot politicians, especially those less talented in the empathy department, perhaps even more threatened in their own gender identity, ought to stay out of the gender lives of others. Especially those they were elected to represent in our democracy.
There's an old thing on instagram, pointing out the songs out the 60s, 70s, and 80s... and the way some of the best of them celebrated the topsy turvy world of human sexuality. The Beatles, the Kinks, Queen...
I'm sure you sang along to many of them.
Gender identity variations have always been with us. And always a focus for bullies, and other small minded people, sadly. Nasty stuff.
