Part of tonight's dinner is a few spears of our first asparagus for the season. Accompanied with lamb rissoles and parsnip chips with sesame seeds, and the mandatory green stuff, all grown on our patch 
Asparagus is a case of consuming it fresh here as the frozen version just doesn't pass muster. That being the case we've got 3-4 months of daily asparagus to look forward to. I'll post a photo of the purple asparagus once the big ones come up. Their size is absolute weapon grade, and so much sweeter than the green ones.
