Nod32 Antivirus - renewal?
#1
My Nod32 Antivirus is expiring by end of the month.  It keeps on nagging at me to renew it, every few hours ...

I am now considering whether to renew or not to continue ??

Do we really need it?

Is Windows built-in good enough?

What are your views?    Smile

Do we really need it?
need? no
want? maybe...

Is Windows built-in good enough?
usually, but!

there are no definitive answers to that question, but this might help you decide
https://www.av-comparatives.org/comparison/

Make sure you adjust for the months and years, they are only snapshots in time and you will notice that results can change from month to month... So it is all a bit subjective....

Wainuitech should be able to verify that?

The Actual Retail price for Eset Nod32 is $49.98. ( 1 Year)  Even the description of features is Wrong for the Antivirus.

So you go figure ???

Sure eset would love to know about Trademe.

Something is VERY fishy with that Trademe, A LEGIT license and any instructions are sent out instantly, not as they advertise.

Quote:Activation code and download instruction will be sent to your email within 24 hours of purchase.

AND actual renewals you don't change the keys unless you contact Eset and ask to have it changed  OR if you have NFR licenses. Those look like they are fakes, prob done by some sort of keygen.  Same as the persons other listings, old story if it seems to good to be true it usually is.

well the seller is j2onlinetrade who has been selling lots of software since 2017, so I'm sure he has been looked into over the last seven years, and trade me seem to have no problem with him.

Please go ahead and inform eset about trademe - as I say, I'm sure the seller has been looked into over the last seven years, and he's still there

From the same seller,

Windows 11 Pro for $25
https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/marketplace/...4700845241

Office 2021 Pro for $32
https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/marketplace/...4704582819

Nothing legitimate about any of those, might as well buy from some dodgy key site, which I suspect is what the seller is doing, it will be slightly cheaper again

Quite surprised that this seller is still doing it and no action taken by Trademe.

Thought Trademe is a trustworthy platform; or maybe Trademe is not aware of it since no one reported to them.

Trademe probably can't afford to be too picky these days...

If the Manufactures like Microsoft, Eset and all the other "contacted" Trademe Then watch those types of sales disappear. Microsoft have done it before.

I bought a Win 11 pro license off Trademe a couple of weeks ago but from this seller for about $25, Activated fine. There's lots of these being sold around the world. Just look at who sponsors some the of you tube tech blogs.

and that is why they are being sold en masse, because they do activate, but that does not necessarily make them legally licensed...

This comment probably sums up my thoughts on the matter...

Is it “legitimate”? It depends on your definition, but in my experience, most resellers selling (to consumers) below MSRP are not following Microsoft’s terms, and therefore, I would not consider them legitimate.
