Probable Labour win in UK

According to the BBC, it looks very like a landslide victory for Labour, after years of Tory govts. It's going to be very interesting to see what happens there; hopefully not yet more of divisive Neo Liberalism.

Certainly hope so, good for the Brits. The French on the other hand look to be heading in the other direction..

There is no such thing as a perfect electoral system, however it appears that the UK's desperately needs improving.

Labour received 34% of the vote, but get 63% of the seats in government. Conservatives received 24% of the vote, but only 19% of the seats. Reform & the Greens received 14% and 7% of the vote respectively, but less than 1% of the seats each.

Regardless of whether or not "your" side won / you're happy with the outcome, it is difficult to argue that it is a truly democratic outcome.

Other countries have made changes to their system, including us so they may eventually change theirs too.
