Really, Jenny Shipley disagrees with Seymour

I'm not easily shocked, but I really, really, never thought I'd agree with Jernny Shipley! Huh Confused

And a very uncomfortable exerience it is,too.... Rolleyes

Nonetheless credit where its due; she's saying that 'ACT is inviting civil war with its treaty principles bill'. And I have to agree with her.

I think I might need a cuppa...

That was exactly my reaction.   Surprised, and needing an uncomfortable few minutes to remember that apart from her commercial shenanigans she was actually not too bad compared with what we have now.   It's the same as the uncomfortable realisation that Judith Collins actually seems quite acceptable compared with the other contenders for National leader.

Once again the boys at BHN are on the case of what's going down in the Beehive. For those that missed it Chloe's full (~5 minute) speech is worth checking out.

David Seymour comments on Jenny Shipley's comment, saying she put as much care into her comments as she did in reviewing accounts when director of Mainzeal.
And he thinks that Chris Finlayson should be ready to move on..

Is it wrong to hope Jenny Shipley eats him for breakfast...??!

Jason Momoa has called on people to sign a petition opposing the Treaty Principles Bill...

Lorde has also come out in support of those opposing Seymour's bill.

I saw posts come up on Twitter announcing Hikoi/demonstrations internationally in protest to the Treaty Bill. Hawaii, New York, Cook Islands & London from memory (I have only limited access Twitter now that I've disabled my account there). The international ripples of this action are spreading far and wide.

Brilliant! I hope it spreads & this idiot govt is forced to bin it.  Smile

I suspect that David Seymour & this govt had badly underestimated the reaction from the public; they'd surely have to be extremely foolish to continue against such widespread & passionate opposition to it.

It's as if the Atlas Network hasn't updated his script over the last few days.   Being an old-style trouper he's valiantly blustering on, calling on all of his best insults.  Maybe he's had some training from Winston.

It is a sure marker for a dinosaur isn't it? This casual racism they use, Winston with his 'I don't know any country called Aotearoa', and Seymour with his 'equality'...

To be fair, perhaps someone should start a circulating Thank You letter to David Seymour for unifying so many of us...

I'm sure there'd be no shortage of people willing to sign it... Rolleyes Rolleyes Big Grin
