Hanif Kureishi, born in Bromley, London, together with David Bowie, Billy Idol, Siouxsie Sioux and others, they were all of what is known as the Bromley Contingent, I was born there as well but I got taken to Africa by my parents and missed out on exciting times in post war London unfortunately.
