You can never have enough...
I agree. Still can't find my filofax despite buying a replacement...

Tenancy check today, and did nothing to prepare for it, houseworkwise, didn't even vack. And she sat there and told me how grubby the 'boys' flats were then disappeared off without checking the smoke alarm. I think it is a bit of a box ticking exercise, me having been here so many years, she just flies in and out and marks that one as done.

Courier delivered three crinum lily bulbs today, fascinating looking things. Like naked ladies apparently in that they flower first then produce leaves. Should be fun, they are going into a pot on the deck because they are supposed to be tough babies. Always interesting to grow something I haven't had before. That and a pair of leggings, magenta tartan (totally fun and age inappropriate). Looking forward to taking those for a walk with my lookalike black combat boots - and a really heavyweight purple sweatshirt hoody from Hine which will only come out on those few bitterly cold days, last winter I promised myself a really warm sweatshirt for just such days. This one should keep the cockles warm! Bit like Christmas today in this little flat!

morning ladies Smile The fog is thinning out and should be gone shortly.

I had to look up crinum lilies, very pretty and they should make a lovely show when flowering. MrK planted some of my hibiscus seeds (apparently, he's the only one who can do this lol) the other day and I'm looking forward to them working their magic. It's a lovely creamy colour according to one of my sisters-in-law.

This morning I'm off to grocery shop and see if Spotlight has the thread I need to finish an embroidery piece. Thank goodness for a courtesy car. We may have to pay a bit extra on our car insurance to include a rental as it will save all this waiting for repairs.

I see the Orange Clown is demanding a portrait painted of him be removed as he thinks it is unflattering. OMG lol, there are far worse pictures of him out there lol. He is so thin skinned.

Morning everyone

It was a little Misty earlier. Gone now tho.

I would love to have a pair of boots.. I have had two memorable pairs in my life time. Maybe one day Ill find another.. Im guessing my legs have shrunk some..

I've never owned soo many pairs of tights and pants lol I have 3 pairs of jeans lol.. I only remember having one other pair. They were dungarees with a red rose embroidered on the bib. Temu has heaps of them, Ill have to measure up and see what I can find. I Loved those jeans, wore them out when I was about 13 lol.

Meant to go do my bloods but Ill see what time I finish my breakfast. The last meal from the crockpot is usually a bit bigger lol.

Oh Ive always known where the envelopes were lol.. I just dont seem to be able to part with them

I made up 9 boxes last night which will be good for the pantry stuff.

Have a fab day all

I think I shall just play in the garden and maybe do some laundry today. It might be the change in season but life seems a bit more tiring than usual these days.

And I do have a rather good big fat book to finish...

Pantries are empty... More boxes made up. They were between two pantries so very handy.

Pretty much only the kitchen Pantry and day to day stuff and my clothes which I cant do until I get the boxes. And the linen cupboard's.

The single bed is going today. So that's a good thing.

Bones are very weary today.

Groceries are done and thread bought. A woman in the supermarket was complaining how firm the stone fruit were. I would rather they were firm and ripened over time than have them soft and squishy and go off before we could polish them off.

I've baked the uneaten bread crusts (ends) and old buns to dry them and am now letting them cool. Will blitz them in the food processor when cooled for bread crumbs. I do this with all types of bread and buns, so our crumbs are a real mixed bag. I usually eat the crusts but lately have been cutting down on bread and carbs. And MrK doesn't like the crusts.

Might do some embroidery Smile

We won't tell popeye how many pairs of boots this mad woman has in her stash. Or how many are now sitting on her watchlist.

Well, they're cheaper to feed than cats.

Hahaha.

Something I will look into. Im not a fan of shoes to be honest. Which is why I live in crocks.

But if I could find boots to fit my Kauri Stump legs Id make myself wear them lol.

The name of my legs is actually what My stepfather called them many years ago when I was stuck on very slippery muddy rocks and he had to help me get home lol

Everyone in my family was taller than me, and had legs. Then I ruined one of mine and the repairs have left it less than attractive, so winter boots are a treasure. In those my legs match. Sort of. I just have to make sure they have heels less than 4cms and can stretch over one somewhat wider ankle than the other. But oh, so much fun when I find another perfect pair, and that I can afford! So I over indulge, lol.

morning ladies Smile Thick fog again this morning, typical of this time of year.

I also struggle to find boots that fit thanks to ankle surgery 25 years ago. I have one pair I love as they pull on rather than zip up. They have been repaired many times lol.

The Furry One was out trying to catch a furry intruder again last night/early this this morning. So, we were out as well bringing him inside to stop the barking. It took him a couple of hours to settle down once inside as he was determined to find a way out. We're both a little bleary eyed this morning. I suspect we have a possum living in the lean-to MrK built to protect his timber from the weather.

Morning everyone

No mist today.

Those terriers love a good invasion to get them into action. Our Lab and foxy would bail ip possums if out in the bush with MrP getting firewood lol.

Bloods today and I need to find something yummy for lunch. I eat differently at home than when I used to take my lunch to the home.

Have a new picture flattening to start later. They come rolled around the diamonds and little tray etc, so need "pressing" to flatten first.

Have a good day all

Well, that Wednesday turned out to be more interesting than planned. Had a second difficult night with arm pain that wasn't improving so went to the gp and ended up with an Israeli doc - of larger than life proportions and rather definite with it, lol , who was able to put my mind at rest by diagnosing wear and tear muscle inflammation. Which he sorted out with three needles, like acupuncture, but deeper, into the muscle that was playing up. Forearm, upper arm, and back of the neck, each time triggering the muscle into sharp spasms, which apparently results in a different kind of inflammation to speed healing. Uh huh, I thought, sounds a bit like osteopathic work, and sure enough he wants me to find a local osteopathy clinic, or come back to him in two weeks for more...

Well, we'll see, recovery wise and budget wise. Those needles are an add on to the usual fees. As interesting as he might be, I am not a fan of osteopathy. I just want to be able to sleep without pain. So fingers crossed. Then being a sucker for punishment I got the flu jab - in the other arm, so at least I am symmetrical, lol. Then cake and coffee before scooting to the hardware shop to order the garden mixes for my winter plans.

Stupidly though this morning I had only transferred enough cash from the stash account to the spendy one to leave me short when I hit the supermarket, and for the first time ever, my card was declined. Embarrassing. Stupid woman. To make it worse my phone was on the charger in the kitchen at home... Thank goodness my bff lives close so I scooted to her place, borrowed her phone, transferred enough to put the account back to spendable and went back to the lovely checkout people at New World and paid for my groceries.

I think it might be best if I just quietly climb into bed for a nice long nana nap and forget today ever happened! Good news though, the sore arm does seem to be improving. The Israeli might have been worth the money, lol...

All this chit-chat about boots reminded me of my promise to myself last winter that I will not have cold feet. And more so since being on these damed blood thinners. So, I splurged online and bought some pretty flowery and spotty socks. And of course, MrK saw what I was doing and wanted socks as well.

I hope your arm feels better soon, OHH. On the bright side, you had coffee and cake!

My Day was dumb.

Frustrating in How Difficult do you think it would be to give away a lovely single bed with 2 sets each of summer and winter bedding. A foam topper, a bedspread, valance and duvet cover, And a free hottie in a teddy bear cover.

The Answer is Blardy Frustrating..

Hopefully the bloke who said he will come tonight will. I shouldn't let it ruin my Day but I got upset.

So I painted a new small painting, after packing my painting gear. And as I sat there I thought you stupid cow, you will finish this one in days... Im happy to cut that box open again if need be tho.

I have an Un named box, it does have handle holes so I will have a look and see if I can label it.

Right now Id simply like to Wriggle my nose and be in the new house and away from this one. Its doing my head in.

Oh km, I love my handknitted socks - I buy boots a size bigger just to accommodate those treasures. And they are easier to put on too being so nice and stretchy. With luck they will see me out, I love them so much! And carrot cake with a big flat white boosted my sugar levels beautifully. Sunil, our lovely barista put a unicorn with wings in the foam for me, a work of art. He is the loveliest man,  part of our family after all these years of Wednesday'ing!
