It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

Is it just me or has Mr Jones become even more of a clown just recently? Could it be something he ate?

He seems lately to be speaking in a manner less baroque and more readily understood.   His vile messages are more direct, e.g.  "my beloved mining".    I think I prefer the previous style, full of strained metaphors and passive-aggressive insults, less comprehensible, less focussed and less dangerous.

Perhaps he's in training to be a statesman when Winston finally retires.

There's something wrong about him, not sure exactly what but don't like him one bit.
in order to be old & wise, you must first be young & stupid. (I'm still working on that.)

Agree.   He's decidedly creepy and inauthentic and I think he would still give me the creeps if he was promoting ideas that I agree with.

Funny thing, intuition. Even funnier - the way we so often try to ignore it.
