Okay, did you eat yukky stuff put in front of you when you were a kid? Even if it meant nothing else being offered? I certainly didn't.

Neither did my kid. Drove me nuts at times. But sometimes that is the only agency a child has - rebellion.

If we are going to feed kids at all, surely it should be something they will eat?

whats yucky? some of these starving waifs have probably never eaten a vegetable , should they be fed kfc or mcd's

if the kids aren’t being fed at home the "authorities " need to see why not continue on the state carrying them from cradle to grave

Your hospital wasn't replaced with an inferior one for 20% of the cost.  or your school, or your roads...  Imagine the uproar then?

it's food, I don't need to have had one to make a determination about the value proposition and cost. 
There is no point in screwing down prices to stupid levels as all that will happen is providers will go belly up and/or the government will have to start paying more to save face... and probably quietly bury any mention of it anywhere, much like what will happen with the ferry costings

Oh how terrible - hungry people refusing to eat slop! We simply cannot have this, who knows where it might end if the peasants were to revolt - why they might even start to believe they have human rights!
Clearly this cannot be permitted, we must immediately imprison all children refusing to eat the simply delicious 'meals' our generosity provides, from the goodness of our hearts. Or something.



The fact that we wouldn't touch the food with a bargepole is simply irrelevant...
