Bit of confusion on this for NZers. In North America drivers are required to stop if a school bus is stationery and passengers are getting on off. In NZ the law is to just slow down to 20kmh. 

In the video with a child like dummy being pulled into the path of the overtaking car it would be unlikely that a human controlled vehicle would stop in time to avoid hitting the 'child'. The point being made is more aligned with the Tesla not having stopped for the bus as it should have and as the Tesla is under autonomous control this would appear to be a programming issue in its software so the back room IT crew still have some work to do.

I feel the real issue is twofold,
One, that it paused after running over the 'kid' with the front wheels, only to continue driving over the kid it just hit with the back wheels. That in itself should be a product recall...

Two, in NZ your required to ascertain if an injury occurs in an accident, I assume it is similar over there - where is the mechanism to stop/check if it detects it has ran over something?
