Sack Marama Davidson!

Police have issued an urgent appeal for sightings of an elderly South Auckland woman who is considered dangerous and not to be approached.
Brownyn Warwick, 74, who is known to frequent Counties Manukau, is wanted for a parole recall warrant.
She was convicted and served a life sentence for murder in 1992 following the asphyxiation of an elderly woman who was bound during a house burglary.
But a friend and ex-prison mate of Warwick’s, jailhouse lawyer Arthur Taylor stated “Back in the ‘90s, she was still transitioning from being a man to a woman. I never saw her be violent during my time there with her. She was pretty intelligent and caused no problems, unlike some others who come in prison.”
Is this an example of Police transphobia?

I think the police reflect the attitudes and biases of the general public.

Btw, yet another researcher speaking out on the evidence base for Marama's statement -

Which also speaks to the attitudes and biases of the general public and the systems we have to manage our communities.

More fairness in dishing out penalties for violence might be a good move.
in order to be old & wise, you must first be young & stupid. (I'm still working on that.)
