Yes it's a lovely piece Lylith, sombre and elegant, sublime.

I try to find dreams in music that I haven't experienced myself and benefit from the experiences of others.

Here is the original version:

My favourite Byrds song:

The Byrds - I'll Feel A Whole Lot Better (Audio)

Another great Byrds song, the video captures the "feel" of the times I think, contrasting to the "desert" feel of today.

The Byrds - “Eight Miles High” (Take 9, Jan. 1966)

There's another version which has beautiful paintings which look lovely with that music, its been a favourite of mine for ages.
This one.

Thanks Lylith, a big improvement over the version I posted.

For something more cheerful and very English I can recommend this, my favourite pieces of classical music, he goes through every emotion.

Magnificent and Triumphant, elegant, soft and gentle.

William Boyce - The Eight Symphonies

Sit in a favourite garden chair and look over your garden and listen to this. Really fulfilling.

The feeling one gets when drinking a flavoursome Rose wine. Lightweight but satisfying.

All the symphonies are outstanding.

Considered to be a minor composer I find him to be my favourite.

Maybe I just have lightweight tastes in music.

Here's a picture of one of my idols:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isambard_Kingdom_Brunel

The first picture is the one I am referring to so click on it and

click on one of the larger sizes to get a better view.

"Brunel was the right man for the nation, but unfortunately, he was not the right man for the shareholders. They must stoop who must gather gold, and Brunel could never stoop. The history of invention records no instance of grand novelties so boldly imagined and so successfully carried out by the same individual"
Not so keen on The symphonies but I'm not averse to Beethoven & the odd bit of Opera now & then. Can't listen to Nessun Dorma any more though; its one piece which makes me blub immediately!

I've heard of Brunei, he must have been a fascinating man, well ahead of his time.

One of my favourite songs

The Shins - Simple Song

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sn31MuIyt0w

The ending is glorious.

"Remember walking a mile to your house, a glow in the dark
I made a fumblin’ play for your heart and the act struck a spark
You wore a charm in a chain that I stole especially for you
Love’s such a delicate thing that we do, with nothing to prove
Which I never knew"
