Never forget, Acker on a visit out here appeared on Town & Around, Keith Bracey dressed like Acker standing back to back to the tune was almost impossible to tell them apart. Smile

I remember Keith Bracey, you are right. Twinnies!  Big Grin Big Grin

I have 5 of Ackers CD albums. My favourite tune is "The first Time, ever I saw your face"

Edit: I don't have any CDs now. When we moved int the retirement village last year. I ripped all my CDs to FLAC first and gave them away Got around 4500 files.

I see that you and I don't agree on soccer and rugby, but it looks like we might love the same in music. My first LP when we came back to Napier from Auckland and moved into our new build house around 1972. I had just bought my first stereo and was as happy as a pig in muck! Then the tape when it came out as the LP was worn out. Then of course the CD. Must have heard the songs a thousand time each! Really thrashed at parties Smile

Have you heard the sound of a distant steam engine whistle in one of the songs, Cante Libre, 2 minutes 57seconds into the track?
Often wondered why, but being an outdoor concert at the Greek Theatre it maybe a sound from a local railway.
Good test of your music system and your hearing  Big Grin Big Grin

Will have a listen later today, just to test the hearing.

In late 50s/early 60s we used to take our records to a coffee bar in Mt Albert Rd, Three Kings area....listened to the Tae Five album amongst others.

The one track he plays that I really love is Besame Mucho. As some of the comments say  "What happened to all our beautiful old music?"
