With needing to wear a mask when going out, I'm finding I don't even bother with the chin hairs anymore, as they don't get seen.

They are starting to grow quite nicely, so I figure that I might as well bring out the masculine side of me, and just go with it. Big Grin

So, what are you ladies neglecting, and thinking 'thank goodness I don't have to do that anymore' ?? What is going on underneath all the coverings??

  Lawn restoration
Posted by: reigns - 18-11-2021, 02:10 PM - Forum: Gardening & DIY - Replies (12)

Trying to restore a garden to just being lawn. We bought our home off of a retired couple who loved gardening as a hobby but I have two little ones, so I neither have time nor interest in trying to keep the garden looking lovely. We've gone and put up all of the plants on Facebook and a bunch of eager gardeners have helped us clear out most of the plants (we still have a few ferns and agaves that are either going to get left out on the street for free pickup, or will eventually just be put in a skip bin) but now I've got two jobs ahead of me:

  1. Clearing the decorative black bark from old gardens and stones from the makeshift paths and restoring those areas to lawn; and
  2. Dealing with the existing lawn which has pot holes on one side where the previous owners used to park a car on it, and then it has ugly weeds right across it
For job #1: is it as easy as following this guide on the Mitre10 website? I just dig up all the shit, put some extra soil and toss seeds out like is a lolly scramble, then wet it all?

For job #2: I bought some Yates Weed & Feed - reckon that will work? I'd rather not go around pulling them all out by hand because that sucks and there's a lot of them

Half tempted to just concrete it all but I like grass. I just hate shit grass. And gardening.

  Vaccine app
Posted by: Oldfellah - 18-11-2021, 09:51 AM - Forum: Covid-19 - Replies (15)

After hours of trying I finally downloaded my covid vaccine app or what I thought was going to be an app, it was just a PDF that was emailed to me with a QR code on it and then I had trouble trying to extract it from my email (on phone) and then where to put it, couldnt put it on my home screen or a folder where I wanted it, it just sits in my download folder which I have to access through a file explorer program to get to it, once all this is done the thing is that damn small its a wonder anyone can see it!!! The government had all this time to work it out and the damn thing is crap.

There must be an easier way?

Payment details - Other: missing off auctions
Posted by: flossy63 - 18-11-2021, 09:45 AM - Forum: Trademe Discussion - Replies (3)

Only picked it up last night, too many buyers saying account is wrong, Huh
, It is correct same auto payment instructions and account for last 16 years, sigh!,
how many times do we need to tell buyers to ditch the banking apps and use a website,

This is in My products, but no longer on auctions,
"ASB Mobile app users, use website if it says account number wrong,"

so been on Chat, took a while for him to get it, sigh!,

So many problems actually come form the app users?,
hence why wont even go to apps,
