Mind? Mind? Who the hell said I had a mind, so I cant change it no matter what

Well I can see you would be a bucket of laughs at a party then.
Despite the high cost of living it remains popular

My thoughts exactly - you won't change their mind with an argument. If they are willing to discuss the subject I will join in, but they will never go that far, they just keep pushing their point of view.

I tried discussing politics and/or religion but sadly, it defied Descartes observations. Since he (Descartes) is now a bit past it. I tried the tried and trusted(??) Muldoon system, but I don't think that'll work. Research does indicate that in spite of contemporary opinion, both Muldoon and two snails were a whole lot smarter than Holyoake. (So were most of the then currently favoured lawn seeds.)
Please forgive my acerbic opinions, but I was unfortunately feted to meet both of these numbskulls and I've spent the subsequent years of my life recuperating.
If you're religious or political, please just consider the corollary to Descartes, "I'm not a person because I don't think". It inspired your antecedents.
Don't scoff; the blue jackets thrive on this; seagull racers and Anglo-trash vehicle fans use this and flat earth wisdom to keep themselves out of reach of the nice young men with the clean white coats.
Pity, that.

I think firing Nash is worth a few extra points...

I'm really disappointed that Nash turned out to be so stupid. He obviously had to go, and I think should be relieved of his other cabinet positions as well after showing such fundamental ignorance of his role.

I don't think we can credit many politicians with a full working unit in the top 4 inches but in this case, I feel Nash said what a very large percentage of New Zealanders were thinking at the time.
Sometimes the legal profession come across as equal in intelligence to the politicians. It is unfortunate that criticizing a judge's decision is a no no.

For me, anyone who actually wants to be a politician has a mental health issue. Even the best of them.
But hey, at least they're not out on the streets causing trouble for the rest of us.

No, it's not unfortunate at all. It is an essential element of our legal system that the judiciary are not subject to pressure from politicians. The content of Nash's pressure is irrelevant, the issue is that he didn't understand the responsibility of his Ministerial office.
