Surgical mishap creates a moral debt?
Posted by: Oh_hunnihunni - 10-03-2025, 09:42 AM - Forum: Opinion and Politics - Replies (8)

The poor guy who lost a working lung and now has inoperable cancer in the other one reckons he is owed an organ transplant to replace the one removed by a surgical mishap.

I am a donor, and have not only donated my own blood and bone, but made that happen for my husband after his accident, so I have an interest in this matter. But I would be keen to hear other opinions...

  Chris Hipkins on Q&A
Posted by: harm_less - 09-03-2025, 03:07 PM - Forum: Opinion and Politics - Replies (7)

Having just watched this mornings Q&A program it was a welcome change to see a politician actual answering the questions put to him. That would be in Chippy's case, which contrasts with the previous interview with Simeon Brown who seems to have adopted the repeating of pre-cooked statements instead of giving straight answers as has become the Luxon approach to interviewers. It also seems to demonstrate how a seasoned politician deals with the voting public compared to Luxon's 'CEO' background.

Tamaki says theor protests are "strategically planned to protect children"

Yeah...I'd be more concerned about the effect these religiolus zealot bully boys might have on kids than the Pride parade. Dodgy Rolleyes

Health to 'partner' with private healthcare
Posted by: Lilith7 - 07-03-2025, 02:39 PM - Forum: Opinion and Politics - Replies (6)

The thin edge of the wedge..?

Our health system is definitely in need of an overhaul, has been for some time thanks to successive govts embracing Neo Liberalism but there's a danger that 'partnering' with private health providers may make things worse.

And this is the same health minister who ditched a bowel screening programme for Maori which started at  50.

Any school, college or University which allows illegal protests will see their funding cut. Adolf showing his true colours. Angry

And he's threatened to deport foreign students who participate. Jewish students have been assaulted, harrased & threatened in some elite university campuses.
