  Bye bye Elon

Waiting now for the back stabbing to begin, from Trump that is in response to Elon stepping outside the lines. But the performance I hope to live to see is the decapitating of the VP, which is a sure bet going on the way the Pres likes to deal with anyone who gets too uppity for his liking...

Devious sods. The aim is clearly to privatise. There's money to be made from suffering, & never mind about the peasants.

Witholding information in this way should never happen, not when it concerns health.

  Help with SD card
Posted by: Pato - 30-05-2025, 03:55 PM - Forum: PC World Chat - Replies (5)

I have a simple Samsung ao1 phone which I purchased way back when Covid was around. I have WhatsApp installed which now tells me that I need to update.

It also tells me that I do not have enough space. I have installed a 32GB SD card but I cannot move ANY App to it. Is this normal with a cheap phone?

Ian Fleming’s Jamaica: The Island That Made 007

An 11 minute read, well written in places with good descriptions of Jamaica and scenery. Informative.

Good pictures of both old and new cast main characters, worth a look.

Parents could be proscuted & fined fr non attendance

David Seymour at it again...how the devil can a childless man have even the slightest idea of what it is to be a parent?! He really is a nasty bit of work.

The usual punitive 'remedy' from the far right. Idiocy.
Parents will face fines of up to $300 for a first offence, & $3000 for a second or subsequent offence

This is a good move, could probably work well elsewhere too. It makes good sense too to have the rent adjustable depending on the family's circumstances.

  USA halts student visa appointments

And plans expanded social media vetting..
Last week Trump revoked Harvard's ability to enrol international students or host foreign researchers. A federal judge blocked the policy.

The Orange Peril does seem to have quite a grudge against Harvard...

Dunedin losing patience, attacking politicians in large print
Posted by: Lilith7 - 28-05-2025, 03:29 PM - Forum: Opinion and Politics - Replies (8)

Both this & the previous govt made promisies which are unkept; Dunedin needs a new hospital. Both this & the previous govt said they'd build it....neither has.

So some very, very large posters have now gone up. One leader was labelled incompetent, the other untrustworthy...but are very likely interchangeable. Rolleyes
